P-Shot Male Enhancement Solutions in Denver, CO

P-Shot therapy uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) prepared from your own blood and injected into targeted areas of penile tissue. PRP contains platelets and growth factors involved in tissue repair and healing. P-Shot therapy has been investigated as a potential treatment for erectile function, blood flow, and sexual wellness; however, clinical research remains limited and results vary among patients.

The P-Shot — also known as the Priapus Shot — is performed in-office by our provider team and serves men across the Denver metro, including Arvada-Wheat Ridge and Castle Rock. R2 Medical Clinic is located at 1873 S Bellaire St, Ste 1215, Denver, CO 80222. To ask whether the P-Shot is right for you, call (720) 640-2333.

P-Shot Treatment

What Is the P-Shot?

The P-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) drawn from your own blood to stimulate tissue regeneration, improve blood flow, and enhance sensitivity in the penile tissue. This treatment promotes natural healing and growth of new blood vessels.

Why Men Consider the P-Shot

Men may seek the P-Shot because of changes in:

  • Erectile firmness and quality
  • Sensation and sensitivity
  • Sexual performance and confidence
  • Size and girth
Key P-Shot Benefits
  • Improved firmness and erectile quality
  • Increased sensation and sensitivity
  • Enhanced size potential
  • Natural healing using your own blood platelets
  • Minimal downtime — most patients return to normal daily activities the same day

Results, when they occur, generally develop gradually over the weeks to months following treatment. The timing and degree of improvement vary among patients.

How It Works

  1. Blood Collection — A small blood sample is drawn from your arm, just like a routine lab test.
  2. PRP Preparation — Your blood is placed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma, concentrating the growth factors that drive tissue regeneration.
  3. Targeted Injection — The concentrated PRP is precisely injected into the target areas using a fine needle after topical numbing cream is applied for comfort.

Potential Benefits of P-Shot Therapy

Improved erectile function in some patients

Improved penile blood-flow response

Increased sensitivity or sexual sensation

Support for penile tissue health

Potential improvement in sexual satisfaction

Minimally invasive treatment using autologous PRP

Little downtime for most patients

Some patients seek P-Shot therapy for concerns about penile size or girth; however, PRP should not be presented as a proven method of permanent penile enlargement. If the penis is more erect, then perceived size should also improve.

Some Causes of Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) can have many causes, and problems with blood flow are only one possibility. Identifying factors contributing to ED can help determine which treatment options are most appropriate.

Common causes and contributing factors include:

  • Cardiovascular and vascular disease — Conditions that impair blood flow can reduce the ability to achieve or maintain an erection.
  • Hormonal factors — Low testosterone and other hormonal abnormalities may contribute to decreased libido, erectile difficulties, or both.
  • Diabetes and metabolic disease — Diabetes, insulin resistance, obesity, and related metabolic conditions can affect both blood vessels and nerves involved in erectile function.
  • Neurologic conditions — Nerve injury or neurologic disorders can interfere with the signals necessary for an erection.
  • Medications — Certain blood pressure medications, antidepressants, prostate medications, and other drugs may contribute to erectile dysfunction.
  • Psychological factors — Stress, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and performance anxiety can contribute to or worsen ED.
  • Lifestyle factors — Smoking, excessive alcohol use, poor sleep, inactivity, and other lifestyle factors may affect sexual function.
  • Pelvic surgery or injury — Prostate surgery, pelvic procedures, radiation therapy, and trauma can affect the nerves or blood vessels involved in erections.

Because ED can have multiple contributing factors, treatment should be individualized. At R2 Medical Clinic, evaluation may include medical and sexual health history, medication review, laboratory testing, hormone evaluation, and assessment of other potential contributors before determining appropriate treatment options.

Who May Consider P-Shot Therapy?

Men may inquire about PRP because of:

  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Reduced erectile firmness
  • Decreased penile sensitivity
  • Changes in sexual function with aging
  • Erectile changes following prostate treatment
  • Peyronie’s disease as part of a broader treatment discussion
  • Interest in non-surgical approaches to sexual wellness

Not every cause of erectile dysfunction is likely to respond to PRP. Hormonal, vascular, neurologic, medication-related and psychological contributors should be considered when evaluating sexual dysfunction.

What to Expect

Before: A brief consultation to discuss your goals and medical history. No special preparation is required.

During: The procedure takes approximately 30–45 minutes. A topical numbing cream is applied to ensure comfort throughout the treatment.

After: You can resume normal activities immediately. Most patients begin noticing improvements within 2–3 months as the PRP stimulates new tissue growth and improved blood flow.

What Does the Research Say About PRP for Erectile Dysfunction?

PRP injections for erectile dysfunction are an emerging and investigational treatment. Several small clinical studies have reported improvements in erectile-function scores following PRP treatment, particularly in men with vascular erectile dysfunction. However, studies vary considerably in how PRP is prepared, the amount injected, treatment frequency, and how outcomes are measured.

Larger, well-controlled studies are still needed to determine which patients are most likely to benefit, the optimal treatment protocol, and how long potential benefits may last. For this reason, P-Shot therapy should not be considered a guaranteed treatment for erectile dysfunction or a replacement for a comprehensive evaluation of its underlying causes.

Risks and Side Effects

Because PRP is prepared from the patient’s own blood, allergic reactions to the PRP itself are uncommon. However, penile injections still carry potential risks. Temporary effects may include soreness, bruising, swelling, tenderness or minor bleeding at injection sites. Infection and other complications are possible but uncommon when appropriate sterile technique is used.

Your medical history, medications and treatment goals should be reviewed before deciding whether PRP therapy is appropriate.
